Genre is basically a particular form of a category of creative endeavour including a content, technique and indivualism to make it a type of something.
For example a comedy. comedy is a genre of film in which the main emphasis is on humour. it is designed to entertain the audience through amusement.it works by exaggerating characteristics of real life for humorous effect. Comedy films will use unusual props and have ambitious settings and creative ideas including funny characters to make it all one type of genre.
Genre relates to the moods they encourage , and the type of people who generally enjoy them.
When thinking of genre, think of it as a way to generalise a mood or your emotion within a type of media.
on the other hand a Thriller Film is a genre that is made up of apprehensions and suspense. The aim for Thrillers is to keep the audience at the edge of their seats. The protagonist is used for a mission, or a mystery. it always emphasises the danger that the protagonist faces. The tension with the main problem is built on throughout the film and leads to a highly stressful climax
